Sarah Jane Dias born on June 9th, 1985 in Mumbai is an upcoming Indian film actress.
Born to Bollywood’s super actor Anil Kapoor and his wife Sunita Kapoor, Sonam was brought up in a truly filmy
ambience. One of her uncles Boney Kapoor is a film producer and another uncle Sanjay Kapoor is an actor. She grew
up with a passion to become an actress in her own right one day.
The cherubic girl is all set to hit the screens with her romantic magnum opus movie "Saawariya" produced by one of
the Hollywood's famous production houses, Sony Pictures. She is cast in a lead character opposite another
star-debutant Ranbir Kapoor, son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor nee Singh. The movie is directed by renowned
director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is based on a short story, 'White Nights' written by Fyodor Dostoevsky. The
other star cast of the movie includes Salman Khan and Rani Mukherji. The film is slated for release during the
forthcoming Diwali.
Incidentally, Sarah Jane Dias is no stranger to the film industry. She has worked as assistant director to Sanjay
Leela Bhansali for the film "Black" {2005} and gained insight into the art of filmmaking, which she thinks will
help her immensely in facing the camera as an actress.
